They Can be, God is able to shield

If the earth is smitten with a curse, we have to go back to hear what the Lord said through the Prophet Malachi and what the Angel said in the Gospel of Luke concerning the mission of John the Baptist. Jesus goes on to reiterate the things about John concerning turning the hearts to repentance . Thus, these things hold true to our generation as well.

Malachi 4:5,6

5. Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Luke 1: 17

17 And he shall go before him ( Jesus), in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient ( children) to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

All things being equal, the peace you experienced as a child with a parent or guardian should be mirrored and even surpassed because our Great Heavenly Father Loving Care
